How we verify professionals
What we check before anyone can send you a quote, what each badge on a profile means, and what we don't do.
1. A person reviews every sign-up
While we open step by step, a professional can't just sign up: they request access and someone on our team reviews their business before letting them in.
2. A licence in the trades that require one
Electrical, plumbing, gas and other regulated trades require a licence. The professional uploads theirs and we review it before they can quote in that trade. Without one, they can't answer those jobs.
3. Reviews only from completed jobs
Only someone who completed a job with that professional can leave a review. Neither side sees the other's rating until both have sent theirs, so nobody answers defensively.

What we don't do
- We don't provide the services: the agreement is between you and the professional, who is an independent business.
- We don't guarantee the outcome of the work. We do keep everything that was agreed and review whatever you report to us.
